We can now safely confirm that a special mini set is coming this September. A distributor listed the product line-up for this set. These products will all release on September 25, 2020, which is on a friday. That means these products will release the same day as the set releases.
A while ago, Total Cards revealed that Ultra Pro listed binders at their site that was called 'Sword & Shield 3.5'. It is still found on their website.
Recently it was revealed that a September Premium Box is also coming, and that started the rumour of a potential special mini set incoming similar to Hidden Fates and Dragon Majesty.
That Premium Box will release on September 4, 2020, 1 month before Sword & Shield 3.5 releases. That will likely indicate that it's not meant for Sword & Shield 3.5, but will be it's own product similar to the Tag Team Powers Collection.
As of now, there are no product descriptions or images yet of these products, so we have to wait for more information this summer and look what Japan is releasing this summer.
The product line-up will be:
- Sword & Shield 3.5 - September V Box
- Sword & Shield 3.5 - September Pin Box
- Sword & Shield 3.5 - Elite Trainer Box

Speculation
If we follow the release pattern (which are very similar) of Sun & Moon, S3a Legend's Heartbeats will fill in the slot of the Japanese July 2017 set SM3+ Shining Legends. Later this month we will get more information about Legend's Heartbeats, we expect that this set will form the base of Sword & Shield 3.5 for us.
What about the missing SM12a Tag All Stars cards? Well at this point, we don't expect any Sun & Moon cards to be included in a Sword & Shield set. At this point, they could throw them in product's as promo cards (like the Tag Team Powers Collection).
What would you want to see in this set? Let us know!
