We've received preliminary information about an upcoming Pokemon TCG product called My First Battle.
Based on the product description, it seems to be a simplified version of the game designed to teach the basics of Pokemon TCG, similar to the Battle Academy and Trainer Kits from previous releases. However, it's worth noting that the decks in this product contain fewer cards compared to others. The planned release date for My First Battle Box is currently set for September 29, 2023, although please be aware that this date is subject to potential changes.

It appears that the cards have different card backs compared to the standard backs seen on Pokemon TCG cards.

So these cards have a different back and thus aren't tournament legal. I wonder if that's an attempt to discourage scalpers, because it seems prtry unnecessary otherwise.
