Pokémon has unveiled a new Pikachu promotional card featuring a Worlds 2024 theme. This release follows the tradition set by the 2023 Pikachu promo, which depicted Pikachu battling Charizard. The 2023 version was distributed with a Play! Pokémon program stamp at select Local Pokemon Leagues nternationally and in Asia too, but with a Worlds 2023 stamp instead.

The 2023 version was also a continuation of the 2020 version also done by the same artist Jiro Sasumo which was only given out in Japan because Jiro Sasumo won the 2nd Illustration Grand Prix with his Charizard illustration.

The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) has announced that the new Pikachu promo card will be available under specific conditions. From August 2 to August 18, it will be offered as a gift-with-purchase at select local and online retail locations where Pokémon TCG products are sold, including Pokémon Center stores.
