Pokemon World Record!

The Pokémon Company International has set a new Guinness World Records™ title for the longest unboxing livestream (video), marking the launch of the Scarlet & Violet—Surging Sparks Trading Card Game expansion.

Over 30 content creators from across Europe joined forces for a 24-hour unboxing marathon, revealing more than 20000 cards and opening hundreds of products. The livestream, featuring over 1500 booster packs, also included exclusive Pokémon Center and licensed merchandise.

To celebrate, Pikachu made a surprise appearance at the 24-hour mark, sharing the moment when the official Guinness World Records certificate was awarded.

The event wasn’t just for fun. Many of the revealed cards will be sorted into collections and donated to charities, such as Barnardo’s in the UK, spreading joy during the holiday season.

“It’s been an incredible 24 hours, and we’re thrilled to achieve this record with an amazing team of creators,” said Peter Murphy, Senior Director of Marketing at The Pokémon Company International.

Fans can rewatch the livestream on Pokémon’s Twitch channel and stay tuned for upcoming giveaways on participating creators' platforms.
