Missing: Lady Full Art - Have you seen her?
With Sword & Shield TCG coming later this year in Japan, we are almost at the end of the Sun & Moon TCG era. During the Sun & Moon TCG era, some Supporter cards never got their Full Art treatment. Some were released as promo cards, deck exclusive cards, some as Japanese exclusive cards or some Full Art Supporters simply just left out of the set.
What Supporter cards have been left out so far? And which Supporter cards could still get their respective Full Art Supporter treatment in the future? Check it out here!
Please keep in mind that this is pure speculation of the author. This could be true, or false when future sets have been released.
Supporter cards that have no Full Art card so far
First to speculate, we need to have a list of Supporter type cards that have no Full art release:
- Hapu - Unified Minds / Tag Team GX Starter Sets
- Bug Catcher - Unified Minds / Family Pokémon Card Game
- Blaine's Quiz Show - Unbroken Bonds / 318/SM-P Promo
- Ultra Forest Kartenvoy - Unbroken Bonds / Full Metal Wall
- Samson Oak - Unbroken Bonds / 244/SM-P Promo
- Lt. Surge's Strategy - Unbroken Bonds / Night Unison
- Bill's Analysis - Team Up / Flareon-GX/Jolteon-GX/Vaporeon-GX Starter Set
- Sightseer - Lost Thunder / Thunderclap Spark
- Pokémon Center Lady - (Unreleased in English) / Brock / Misty Trainer Battle Decks
- Brock's Training - (Unreleased in English) / Brock / Misty Trainer Battle Decks
- Misty's Water Manipulation - (Unreleased in English) / Brock / Misty Trainer Battle Decks
-
Misty's Determination (Sun & Moon version unreleased in English) / Brock / Misty Trainer Battle Decks
- Ash's Friendship - (Unreleased in English) / Ash vs Team Rocket Deck Kit
- Team Rocket's Harassment - (Unreleased in English) / Ash vs Team Rocket Deck Kit
- Erika - (Unreleased in English) / 362/SM-P Promo
- Abareru-kun - (Unreleased in English) / 320/SM-P Promo
- Will - (Unreleased in English, Cosmic Eclipse release) / Dream League
- Roxie - (Unreleased in English, Cosmic Eclipse release) / Dream League
- Clay - (Unreleased in English, Cosmic Eclipse release) / Dream League
Cards unlikely to get a Full Art card
These are all the cards that have no Full Art card so far. Some cards will very unlikely see ever an English release or Full Art release such as:
- Abareru-kun - (Unreleased in English) / 320/SM-P Promo
- Ash's Friendship - (Unreleased in English) / Ash vs Team Rocket Deck Kit
- Team Rocket's Harassment - (Unreleased in English) / Ash vs Team Rocket Deck Kit
Abareru-kun is a Japanese host for the Pokénchi TV show Japan. I doubt it would ever come outside of Japan. This card was a lottery card and has a limited release of 5000 copies for Japan only.
Ash's Friendship and Team Rocket's Harassment are Japanese / Korean exclusive theme decks based on the Sun & Moon anime show. These decks contain exclusive cards that will most likely never release here too. These are also more than 2 years old now.
You could also say Roxie and Clay will have no Full Art card, since they have been featured on the CHR cards from Dream League. Only Will has not been featured on a CHR card. It could potentially get a Full Art version in the future.
Asian exclusive cards
Full Art Supporter cards that have not seen an international release so far:
- Lt. Yoshida - Movie Special Pack Detective Pikachu
- Lady - Forbidden Light
- Giovanni's Exile - Double Blaze
- The Masked Royal - 085/SM-P Promo
There is 1 card that has an English release, but it's Full Art version is very unlikely to be released outside of Japan/Korea:
- The Masked Royal - 085/SM-P Promo
This card is a tournament prize card only and is extremely limited. In Japan there are only 100 copies given out. This Full Art is now 2 years old and the regular version has been released in Celestial Storm. A set that is 1 year old now.
Also Lady Full Art from Forbidden Light, never has been released outside of Asia. We still don't know the reason behind this. Maybe it could still see a future release as a Alternate Art promo card similar to the Premium Trainer's XY Collection.
Giovanni's Exile Full Art also got never released in Unbroken Bonds, but that card could be released in Hidden Fates. So there is a high chance it will still come later.
And lastly Lt. Yoshida from Pokémon TCG: Detective Pikachu / Movie Special Pack Detective Pikachu is a Japanese exclusive card so far. And it could stay exclusive so far. Maybe it could release in a Detective Pikachu product later this year.
Supporter cards that still could see a future Full Art release
With High Class Pack 2019 (This is most likely called the trademarked Tag All Stars) on the release schedule, which is most likely going to consist of reprints of older sets along with some new cards mixed in. There is room for Supporter cards that never were released as a Full Art card.
A great example of this is SM8b GX Ultra Shiny. Hiker was a promo in Japan and a set card in Celestial Storm. And it got it's Full Art release in GX Ultra Shiny. The same goes for Aether Foundation Employee, which was first released as a promo in Japan, and later released in Lost Thunder here as a set card.
My speculative list for Supporter cards that could be included in SM12a High Class Pack 2019 or another future final Sun & Moon TCG reprint set:
- Sightseer
- Hapu
- Bug Catcher
- Lt. Surge's Strategy
- Samson Oak
- Ultra Forest Kartenvoy
- Will
Sightseer not too long ago got her TR (Trainer Rare) reprint version. Sightseer is a fan favorite and would do well as a chase Full Art card in a Japanese set.
Fans in Japan also were not happy Lt. Surge's Strategy got left out in favor of Koga's Trap during the release of Night Unison. I am sure that card would see a future Full Art release too later this year.
I personally think these cards could see a future Full Art release. The rest of the cards that weren't included, have a low chance to become a Full Art Card during the Sun & Moon TCG era. Please mind this is still my opinion, things could be different in the future.
What do you think of this list? And what Supporter card do you think should get a Full Art card? Let me know!
