Trainer's Pokemon are back!
At the end of the Pokemon World Championships 2024, in the closing ceremony, a new trailer showed / teased us new cards for the Pokemon Trading Card Game for 2025.
Trainer's Pokemon got revealed, this mechanic is returning in the TCG.
"A nostalgic gameplay mechanic is returning to the Pokémon TCG—Trainer’s Pokémon cards highlight the bond between a Trainer and their Pokémon, and you can look forward to seeing what their arrival brings to the game in 2025."
Lillie's Clefairy ex, Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex, N's Zoroark ex & N's Reshiram (including from what it seems also an Art Rare version) got revealed in this trailer.
No specifics or release dates have yet been mentioned unfortunately. Only that Trainer's Pokemon are returning. It's confirmed these cards are releasing in 2025.

Speculation:
This falls in line with the earlier mentioned Scarlet & Violet - Battle Partners set and Scarlet & Violet Starter Set ex Marnie's Morpeko & Grimmsnarl ex / Steven's Beldum & Metagross ex that are releasing in Japan in January and February 2025. This set and Starter sets are yet to be officially revealed.
Finally, the trailer hinted at Team Rocket with Mewtwo, suggesting a Team Rocket card or set could be released later in 2025.
Speculation:
Also while still a rumour and trademark, this also falls in line with the trademarked Glory of Team Rocket set. We think this is teasing a new Team Rocket set.
