Original Story

A new free-to-start app named Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has been revealed on Pokemon Day 2024.

This is an app that allows you to easily collect Pokémon cards. Cards range from nostalgic illustrations from the past to completely new cards that are exclusive to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. You can open two free booster packs every day.

DeNA who is known for developing Pokemon Masters EX game, and Creatures Inc., which are the main developer for the Pokémon Trading Card Game in general, are working together to develop this app.

It's 'coming 2024' with no specific date mentioned, on iOS and Android devices, free of charge. Although it's noted that in-app purchases are available for some items.

More info is coming soon. Make sure to follow our social media to not miss anything.

TCG Pocket also introduces “Immersive Cards”.

These are digital, original cards specifically made for the app, these feature "special visual effects unique to this digital adaptation of the Pokémon TCG" on the cards, that are only possible digitally without the limitation of cardboard cards.

It "will make you feel as though you’ve leapt into the world of the card’s illustration." according to TPC. Make sure to check the video showcasing this feature.

Lastly, they've added some new rules to the game for this app specifically, but kept the traditional game design mentioning a "streamlined rules based on the classic Pokémon TCG battle system". This means you can have fun with it even when you just have a little bit of free time, like a quick break.
