The Pokémon Company International has officially announced the next expansion in the Scarlet & Violet series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, called Scarlet & Violet - Journey Together. This set is scheduled to launch on March 28, 2025.

A significant milestone accompanies this release, as it introduces Latin American Spanish as a new language option for the Pokémon TCG, expanding its availability to a total of 16 languages.

The Journey Together set will debut Trainer’s Pokémon cards again, first introduced in the Pokémon TCG: Gym Heroes expansion and teased in a video presentation at the Pokémon World Championships 2024 this past August.

The set is inspired by its Japanese counterpart, Battle Partners, which is set to release earlier on January 24, 2025.

Additionally, Pokémon Center has listed a new product: the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet - Journey Together Enhanced Booster Display Box. While it’s currently unclear whether this product replaces the standard Booster Display Boxes sold through distributors or is a new offering entirely, it does include a new bonus: a special illustration rare-style promo card featuring N’s Reshiram with the Scarlet & Violet - Journey Together logo. Also it's unsure if this promo is include inside the booster box, or distributed seperately with the product. This could signal the return of box toppers to the TCG.

Update on the Scarlet & Violet - Journey Together Booster Display Box: Store listings do not mention any promo included, so this promotion may be exclusive to certain stores. We will investigate more and update this article when we know more.

Update 2: We have confirmation via the official sell sheet that the Scarlet & Violet - Journey Together Enhanced Booster Display Box, replaces the current Booster Display Box product name for at least Journey Together. So it's highly likely all Booster box displays, get the promo card. A new product image also confirms this "INCLUDES 1 BONUS illustration rare-style PROMO CARD!"

Update 3: The Journey Together Enhanced Booster Display Box may not be available in all regions. Standard booster boxes apparently continue to be available at other regions, with promo cards distributed at 'participating retailers' for European countries (excluding the UK). More details will follow as our investigation progresses this week to obtain clarity on this matter. We apologize for any confusion caused by unanticipated regional variations.

A summary so far of what we know:

The US release of the Scarlet & Violet - Journey Together Enhanced Booster Display Box effectively replaces the regular booster box product name in the US TPCi Sell sheet of Journey Together, suggesting widespread availability at local game stores.
In contrast, the UK sell sheet refers only to the "Scarlet & Violet - Journey Together Booster Display Box", omitting the "Enhanced" name.
European press releases outside the UK confirm the availability of the Scarlet & Violet - Journey Together Booster Display Box (not naming Enhanced) with the promo card being available in select stores. This is confirmed for at least the Netherlands.
The French, Italian, German, Nordics, Belgian and Portuguese press release do mention Scarlet & Violet - Journey Together Enhanced Booster Display Box, with still offering the promo at selected stores.
Meanwhile, Pokemon Center UK exclusively offers the Enhanced Booster Display Box, ensuring access to the promotional items. So the UK may get the promo, only exclusively at Pokemon Center, offering no promo at other stores.
It's confirmed there are 2 seperate SKU numbers for the Enhanced Booster Display and the Regular Booster Display.
